Product Description
BOCHU BOCI Ceramic Body & Rings covers the current ceramic structural and nozzle interface components, incudingM8x0.75, M11x0.75 and the separate M16x1 nozzle-cooling ceramic where listed. Confirm the component role, threadexact BOCHU part number and listed BLT model before ordering. Ceramic Rings, ceramic locking rings and coolingcomponents are distinct families; do not select by appearance alone. See Ceramic Locking Rings for the separate retaining-ring family.
The BOCI ceramic body is a replacement component used in the nozzle assembly of compatible BOCI fiber laser cutting heads.
As part of the cutting head's sensing and nozzle mounting structure, the ceramic body helps maintain the position of the nozzle while providing electrical insulation between the nozzle assembly and the cutting head. This is important for machines using capacitive height sensing during automatic cutting operations.
A worn, cracked or damaged ceramic body can affect nozzle positioning and may interfere with the height-sensing system. Replacing the ceramic body can therefore be a simple maintenance solution when the cutting head itself remains in usable condition.
This component is intended for maintenance and replacement of compatible BOCI cutting head assemblies. It is particularly useful for laser machine service companies, distributors and users who regularly maintain fiber laser cutting equipment and need individual replacement components rather than a complete cutting head.
Before ordering, verify the BOCI cutting head model, ceramic body dimensions, mounting interface and sensor connection to ensure the correct part is selected.

FAQ
-
Q1: What should I check before ordering a ceramic ring?
Before ordering, check:
- Cutting head brand and model
- Ceramic ring model
- Overall dimensions
- Mounting thread
- Nozzle connection
- Sensor interface
- Existing ceramic ring design
If the exact model is unknown, comparing the original part with the product dimensions or providing clear photos and measurements can help identify the correct replacement.
-
Q2: Can I replace only the ceramic ring instead of the complete cutting head?
Yes. If the cutting head itself is in good condition, a damaged ceramic ring can normally be replaced separately. This is often a more economical maintenance solution than replacing the complete cutting head.
-
Q3: Are laser cutting ceramic rings universal?
No. Ceramic rings are not universally interchangeable. Different cutting heads can use different thread sizes, mounting dimensions, sensor connections and ceramic ring designs.
Always check the cutting head model and the dimensions of the original ceramic ring before ordering. -
Q4:Can I use a ceramic ring from another brand?
It depends on the specific design. A ceramic ring from another brand may work if its mechanical dimensions, electrical characteristics and mounting interface match the cutting head.
Brand name alone is not enough to determine compatibility.
-
Q5: Why does a ceramic ring break?
Ceramic rings can be damaged by nozzle collisions, excessive mechanical force, thermal stress, incorrect installation or contact with the workpiece.
Poor nozzle alignment and collisions during tube or sheet cutting can also increase the risk of damage.
-
Q6: How often should a ceramic ring be replaced?
There is no fixed replacement interval. Unlike some consumables, ceramic rings do not necessarily need to be replaced on a regular schedule if they remain in good condition.
Replacement is generally required when the ring is cracked, damaged, contaminated or no longer provides reliable positioning or electrical insulation.
-
Q7:Does the ceramic ring affect laser cutting quality?
The ceramic ring does not directly determine the laser beam quality, but its condition can affect nozzle positioning and capacitive height sensing.
A damaged or incorrectly installed ring may therefore contribute to unstable cutting conditions.
-
Q8: Do ceramic rings come with a nozzle?
No. Ceramic rings and laser cutting nozzles are normally separate components and need to be purchased separately.
