How to Choose Right Laser Consumables for Raytools Laser Head BM110 BM111 BT240S

Now there is very large quantity low power laser cutting machine in the market, especially 1.5kw laser, 2kw laser and 3kw laser power. Raytools, BOCI,WSX and Au3tech brand etc laser head is popular in the market. Raytools BM110 and BT240S is most popular in all laser cutting machine.

Due to the large market population of Raytools BM110 and BT240 laser head. Its laser consumables have large request include laser protective lens, laser nozzles, focus lens, collimating lens and ceramic rings etc. 

Now let us talk about all laser consumables specification so that we can choose the right one when buy new parts.

What are the consumables for a laser cutting head?

What's the detail dimension for BM110, BM111 and BT240S?
1. Protective lens

Laser protective lens include upper protective lens (collimating protective lens) and botton protective lens (focusing protective lens).

Upper protective lens: 24.9x1.5mm

botton protective lens: 27.9x4.1mm

Note: pls choose the double size coated lens with 99.5% transmittance. 

2.  Laser cutting nozzles

BM110 and BT240S laser head use D32 out-diameter laser nozzles, hole diameter from 0.8mm to 5mm for single layer nozzle and double layer nozzle both.

Single layer nozzle used on stainless steel cutting with N2/air auxiliary gas.

Double layer nozzle used on carbon steel cutting with O2 auxiliary gas.

Note: It need use M8 H19 3D laser nozzle when use this laser head on tube cutting.

3. Focus lens/Collimating lens

BM110 laser head use D30 diameter focus lens and collimating lens. We recommend you buy lens with holder as it is easy change. Surely buy lens only is economic choice if your side have no rich experience on change lens.

4. Ceramic rings

Ceramic body won't breakdown unless laser head bump cutting plate or blade. So we just need prepare few pieces as back up is enough.

Plate cutting use normal D32 ceramic rings.

Tube cutting use D19.5 M8 ceramic rings.

4. Seals rings

Upper protective lens seals: 29.2x21x3.55mm

Bottom protective lens seals: 32.2x24x3.55mm

5. Sensor TRA parts.

Except above parts, laser cutting machine nearly have no others quick wear parts. 

Should we select original parts or OEM parts?

Both are available in my opinion and it depend on your budget. As original parts is much more expensive. So OEM is better choice when your machine out of warranty.

Actually original laser parts and OEM laser parts have similar lifespan if you select quality OEM parts. Take care don't buy those very cheap OEM parts as it have high broken rate, even damage focus lens and laser head.
